Method

  • 1, Heat 1 tbsp oil in frying pan, add pork a little at a time (if you add it all at once it will stew not fry). Fry pork until sealed all over, add onion until soft.

  • 2, Add stock cubes, cider and apples. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 mins or until tender.

  • 3, Mix 1tsp flour or corn flour to a paste with cold water. Add to sauce at least 10 mins before end of cooking to aid thickening.
  • Tips

    • Try adding a stick of celery and/or half a chopped leek to the pan when softening the onion.

      Serve with rice or alternatively potato and swede mash!

    • 1lb Diced Pork Fillet
    • 1 large onion. finely chopped
    • 450ml Dry Cider
    • 1 tsp Plain/corn flour to thicken
    • 1 cooking apples. peeled. cored and sliced
    • 2 chicken stock cubes
