Method

  • Fry an onion in a little butter, add 4 lettuce and seasoning, and 2 pints chicken stock.
  • Simmer until tender, liquidize and serve hot or cold.
  • If serving cold, stir a little cream in just before serving.

    • HAD TO TWEAK GIVEN RECIPE FOR LETTUCE SOUP BY ADDING A GOOD PINCH OF MIXED HERBS,A TEASPOONFUL OF CORNFLOWER TO THICKEN MIXTURE AND A SPLASH OF CREAM JUST BEFORE SERVING HOT.TASTES PRETTY GOOD.MIGHT TRY IT COLD NEXT TIME WITH GARLIC AS A VARIATION TO GAZPACHEO
