Method

  • Immerse can of condensed milk-unopened-in boiling water. Cover and boil for 3 hours. Remove from water and cool completely before opening. Line 8" flan tin with pastry and bake blind. Whip cream with coffee and sugar until thick and smooth.
  • Empty coffee mixture into flan. Spread. Chop bananas over top and finish by spooning or piping on the cream.

    • 6 oz uncooked shortcrust pastry
    • 1 large tin condensed milk
    • 1 tsp. instant coffe
    • 1 oz castor sugar
    • ½ pt. double cream
    • 1 large banana
