Method

  • 1. Peel, core and chop apples.
  • 2. Rub butter into flour and add the apple
  • and sugar.
  • 3. Work this all together into a soft dough
  • with a little milk and form into round,
  • flat cake about an inch thick.
  • 4. Bake on a greased tin in a moderate oven
  • for about 20 minutes.
  • 5. Split, butter and eat hot.

    • 3 oz. Sugar
    • to moisten Milk
