Method

  • Cream margarine and sugar, add baking powder and flour.
  • Add egg then everything else.
  • Pour in to a baking dish and bake at 150 for 40 mins.
  • When hot, skewer and make holes.
  • Pour sauce over the top.
  • Heat all ingredients in pan till dissolved, stirring regularly.
  • Pour over pudding while still hot.

    • PUDDING
    • 2oz margarine
    • 6oz sugar
    • ½ lb flour
    • 1 tspn baking powder
    • 1 egg
    • 1tsp vanilla
    • 6 oz stoned dates chopped (you can buy a bag of pre-chopped dried dates)
    • 1 cup Water
    • SAUCE
    • 7.5 oz brown sugar
    • 4.5 oz margarine
    • 6 tbsp Water
