Method
Cream margarine and sugar, add baking powder and flour.
Add egg then everything else.
Pour in to a baking dish and bake at 150 for 40 mins.
When hot, skewer and make holes.
Pour sauce over the top.
Heat all ingredients in pan till dissolved, stirring regularly.
Pour over pudding while still hot.
Ingredients
- PUDDING
- 2oz margarine
- 6oz sugar
- ½ lb flour
- 1 tspn baking powder
- 1 egg
- 1tsp vanilla
- 6 oz stoned dates chopped (you can buy a bag of pre-chopped dried dates)
- 1 cup Water
- SAUCE
- 7.5 oz brown sugar
- 4.5 oz margarine
- 6 tbsp Water
