Method

  • Melt Chocolate, Butter, and Condensed Milk over hot water until just melted and warm not hot.
  • Stir in remaining ingredients except the maltesers and pack into a lined cake tin
  • Use any shape tin although a large rectanglular is probably better so you can cut it into squares.
  • Pour over the maltesers and press them down well.
  • Leave to set. Cut into squares and serve
  • Ingredients

    • 10 ozs Plain Chocolate
    • 4 oz Butter
    • 12 oz Broken Sweet Biscuits
    • 1 can Condensed full cream milk
    • 2 oz raisins
    • 4 ozs nuts chopped
    • 4 oz glace cherries
    • ¼ pint Dark Rum
    • 2 pkts Maltesers cut roughly in ½

    I first made this as an alternative Christmas cake. It has since been used as family wedding cakes. I would dedicate this to my son Nicholas as he is he family chocoholic.
