Method

  • 1. Make the pastry by combining all the ingredients together for the Flan pastry and kneading into a ball and then roll it out and line a baking dish with the pastry.
  • 2. Spread the jam on the pastry.
  • 3. Mix the almonds and sugar with a spot of

  • 4. Spraed on top of jam on pastry.
  • 5. Bake in a moderate oven for 20 minutes.

    • 4 oz. Flour
    • 1 oz. Lard
    • 1½ oz. Margarine
    • 1 tsp. Icing Sugar
    • 1½ tsp. cold water
    • ----- Almond Top
    • 2 oz. Ground Almonds
    • 2 oz. Castor Sugar
    • 5 tbsp. Jam
