Banoffee Maltesers Pie

Method

  • 1. To make the base: place the biscuits and Maltesers in a plastic bag. Use a rolling pin and crush to fine crumbs.
  • 2. Add the crumbs to the melted butter and mix well.
  • 3. Divide and pressed the mixture into 2 loose based, fluted tart tin. ( 10cm in Diameter)
  • 4. To make the caramel: put the sugar and butter in a pan over low heat. Stir until the sugar melted. Stir in the condensed milk. Bring to the boil. Remove from the heat. Pour the caramel into the two biscuit cases. Leave to chill.
  • 5. To serve: remove the pies from the tins. Place the freshly sliced banana on top. Decorate with piped whipped cream and Maltesrs.

    • 75g digestive biscuits
    • 25g  Maltesers
    • FOR THE FILLING:
    • 30g  butter
    • 30g  brown sugar
    • 100g  condensed milk
    • FOR THE TOPPING:
    • 1 large  banana
    • 14  Maltesers
    • 100 ml whipped cream

    I like this recipe because it is delicious and easy to make. A friend made it for me the first time and it was heavenly. I make it for my family for special treats these days.
