Ingredients
- 4oz butter
- 4oz caster sugar
- 4oz light brown sugar
- 8oz plain flour
- 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 100g chocolate chips
- 1 egg
Method
- 1. Blend butter and sugar
- 2. Add the egg
- 3. Fold in flour and dry ingredients
- 4. Add chocolate chips at ther end
- 5. Roll into a sausage shape and put in a clean bag and store in the fridge
- 6. Slice cookies from the sauage and cook in the oven (170) for 10 mins - or a little longer if you like the cookies more crunchy

Ingredients
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¾ cup packed brown sugar
- 1 cup butter or margarine softened
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 cup chocolate chips
Method
- Heat oven to 375 F.
- Mix sugars, butter, vanilla and egg in large bowl. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt (dough will be stiff). Stir in chocolate chips. Feeling a little nutty? Go ahead and add 1 cup coarsely chopped nuts with the chocolate chips.
- Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown (centers will be soft). Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet. Cool on wire rack.

- 225g Flour (self raising or plain)
- 125g Margerine
- 100g white sugar
- 100g brown sugar
- 1 egg
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 2 ½ tbsps cocoa powder
- 100g white choc chips
- 100g plain choc chips
Method
- 1. Set oven to 185 celcius
- 2. Beat marg and both sugars together in a bowl.
- 3. Beat the egg separatley and then add to the mixture. Stir it all in.
- 4. Chuck all the chocolate chips in.
- 5. Sift eveything else in and stir everything together.
- 6. Roll into about 12 little balls and place on a baking tray.
- 7. Cook for 10-15 minutes, depending on how soft you want them.
- When they are taken out the oven, they will seem very squidgy. Thats fine, its just because of the amount of chocolate in them.

I made these and they were really good - i added a sprinkle of oats to make the dough drier and it made it taste really good - and then we cooked them! (only a few left)
