Crunchy Chocolate Fridge Cake

Ingredients
- 8oz Self-raising flour
- 4oz sugar
- pinch salt
- 4oz margarine
- 1 eggs. beaten
- 6 broken hobnobs
- 1 tablespoon Drnking Chocolate powder or cocoa
Method
- one of my favourite childhood recipes.
- 1)preheat oven to 200.c
- 2)sieve the flour and cocoa in to a bowl with the sugar and salt and mix.
- 3)melt the margarine in a pan and pour over the dry ingredients, add the egg and mix well.
- 4) grease a baking tin/tray and pour in mixture.
- 5)bake for 15-20 minutes.

- 300grams marg
- 300grams granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 35 grams cocoa powder
- 400 grams plain flour
Method
- cream the marg and sugar together, then add the egg and vanilla essence mix together, then fold in the cocoa powder and plain flour to the mixture, put the mixture in to a shallow tin, press down and sprinkle sugar on top. bake in a warm oven at 160c for approx 1 hour. once removed then cut into squares.

- 4oz (125g) plain chocolate
- 4oz (125g) butter
- 1 tablesspoon golden syrup
- 4oz (125g) digestive biscuits crushed
- 2oz (60g) raisins
- 2 oz (60g) Glace cherries
- 1-2oz (30-60g) hazelnuts toasted and chopped
Method
- 7" shallow cake tin lined with cling film
- Put chocolate in a large bowl and microwave on High for 1 minute until just melting.Add the butterand golden syrup and beat in to and make a smooth sauce.Cool for a minute,then add the biscuts and fruit.Press lightly in to the tin,sprinkle with the hazelnuts and leave in the fridge to set for a couple of hours.Turn out and slice.

hey i'm afraid i've uploaded the wrong picture. it's the same recipe but this is my younger sisters version, she breaks up 6 hobnob biscuits and mix's them in. i hope that helps. sorry about the confussion.

In the picture it looks like there are bits of something (biscuit maybe) in it but no mention in the recipe? I'm guessing there must be something crunchy in it hence the name?
