    Ingredients

    • 2oz/50g fine fresh breadcrumbs
    • 1lb/450g Minced beef
    • 1 medium Onion
    • 1 small colve Garlic (optional)
    • 1 tbls Tomatoe puree
    • 3 sprigs Parsley
    • to taste Salt &,amp, fresh ground pepper
    • pinch Nutmeg

    Method

    1. Place breadcrumbs & minced beef in a mixing bowl.

    2. Peel & roughly chop the onion and blend in a liquidiser with the remaining ingredients until reduced to a puree. Add to the meat and mix thoroughly with a wooden spoon.

    3. Turn the mixture into a greased 1lb loaf tin and press down lightly.

    4. Cover with foil or greasproof paper and bake in a moderately hot oven Gas mark 5. for 1 hour.

        Hi matzah meal is like breadcrumbs you can buy it in Tesco. You can used breadcrumbs instead.

        What is matzah meal?

      Ingredients

      • 2lbs minced meat
      • 1 large grated onion
      • squirt tomato ketchup
      • to taste dark soya sauce
      • 1 large eggs
      • 2-3 tbsp  matzah meal

      Method

      1. Pre-heat the oven to 200C

      2. Put mincemeat into a plastic bowl,add the beaten egg and grated onion.

      3. Add a squirt ketchup and 3 shakes of soy sauce and mix it all together.

      4. Then add matzah meal to bind the mixture together.

      5. Put the mixture in a loaf tin,squashing it in firmly.Press down edges with a fork to make a moat, for your gravy.
      6. Put in oven 200 deg for 15 minutes,then turn down to 180 deg for one hour.

      7. Take out of tin serve with mash potato and peas.

        • 1 can Cream of mushroom soup
        • 2 lb Minced beef
        • 1 packet Dry onion soup mix
        • ½ cup dry bread crumbs
        • 1 egg
        • 2 floz Water

        Method

        1. 1. Mix thoroughly 1/2 cup mushroom soup, beef, onion soup mix, bread crumbs and egg.

        2. 2. Shape firmly into 8"x4" loaf in baking pan.

        3. 3. Bake at 350°F. for 1 hr. 15 min.

        4. 4. Mix 2 tbsp. drippings, remaining mushroom soup and water for gravy. Heat through
