Love this, added it to my favs. Check out my Chili Martini- http://www.mydish.co.uk/recipe/5398/Ultimate%20Chili%20Martini%20Cocktail
All the best.
Ingredients
- 1 tsp Sugar (powder)
- 4 Mint Leaves (fresh)
- 1 Lime (fresh)
- To taste Crushed Ice
- 2 ounces White Rum
- 2 ounces Club Soda
- Fresh Sprig Mint (Fresh)
- Optional Angostura Bitters
Method
- 1. Spoon the sugar into a tall glass
- 2. Add the mint leaves.
- 3. Now squeeze in the juice from the lime.
- 4. The mixture must now be gently mashed repeatedly with a muddler (one can also use the back of a teaspoon for this if you don't have a muddler).
- 5. Now add the crushed ice and then add the rum (TRY TO USE HAVANA CLUB WHITE RUM FOR THAT AUTHENTIC FLAVOUR) and topped it all of with with the club soda.
- 6. For people who would rather a less sweet cocktail one may add a dash of Angostura Bitters. This will significantly reduce the sweetness of the drink.

Add commentIngredients
- 4 Fresh Rasperries
- 20ml Fresh Lime Juice
- 20ml Gomme (Sugar Syrup)
- 10ml Elderflower Cordial
- 50ml White Rum
- 35ml Passion Fruit Juice
- 6-8 leaves Fresh Mint
Method
- Muddle the Raspberries in the bottom of a Boston Glass.
- Add the Lime Juice, Rum, Elderflower Cordial Gomme to the glass.
- Add Passion Fruit Juice.
- Add Mint Leaves, but do not muddle or break as that releases undesirable bitter flavours from the chlorophyll of the leaf.
- Add Crushed Ice to the top of the glass, and stir 20-25 times well. This will release the fragrance of the mint to the drink and mix all ingredients well, whilst also adding the desired dilution.
- Either strain into a tall Hurricane Glass, or decant with "dirty" ice into the same. Garnish with a mint sprig, and a raspberry and lime wedge speared on a cocktail stick.
- Ravish and enjoy.
