Ingredients
- 6 cloves
- 2 Bottles of Red Wine
- 2 Cinamon Sticks
- 1 lemon
- 150g brown sugar
- 500ml orange juice
- 100ml Vodka
- Orange slices
Method
- Gently heat wine with spices and lemon juice, until the mixture is hot, but not boiling. Gradually stir in half the sugar, then the orange juice and heat for a few minutes, without boiling. Turn off the heat, stir in the vodka, taste and add the remaining sugar until its sweet enough. Let everything settle for 5 mins and then put a slice of orange in each glass before ladling the grog.

- 1 Litre Grape Juice (non-alcoholic)
- 1 Cup of Water
- ¼ Cup Sugar
- 10 Cloves
- 2 Cinnamon Sticks
- 1 Peel of Orange and Lemon
- ½ Tsp Nutmeg
- 1 Cup of Hot lemon/Lime Juice
Method
- 1. Heat the water and add the sugar, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg and peel.
- 2. Boil for 5 minutes and leave to simmer for a further 5 more.
- 3. Strain this syrup into a large pot and add the citrus juice, heat until it is gently bubbling.
- 4. Add the 2 litres of grape juice and keep the mixture on a low heat, serve with a slice of lemon.

- 1 cup water
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups pineapple juice
- 1 cup orange juice
- 6 whole cloves
- 3 whole allspice berries
- 2 cinnamon stick
- ½ tsp. salt
- 4 cups red wine
- 2 oranges
- 8 cinnamon sticks garnish
Method
- 1.In a large saucepan, combine water, brown sugar, pineapple juice, and orange juice.
- 2.Season with cloves, allspice, two cinnamon sticks and salt.
- 3.Cut the rind of two oranges into strips and stir into the mixture.
- 4.Bring to the boil, reduce heat and let simmer for 15 minutes.
- 5.Pour in the wine. Heat to just boiling and remove from heat.
- 6.Serve hot, garnished with a cinnamon stick
