    Ingredients

    • 3oz Butter
    • 3oz sugar
    • 3oz rolled oats
    • 1tbsp golden syrup
    • ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
    • 3oz plain flour

    Method

    1. Preheat oven to 150*c
    2. In a small bowl measure the dry ingredients (rolled oats, sugar, plain flour and bicarbonate of soda)mix them well.
    3. In a seperate bowl cream the butter and golden syrup, ad the dry ingredients slowly, roll into a sausage and cut into sixteenth (I genereally cut the sausahe into eighths then in half - like this -/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/- put onto two trays in lines ,3,2,3

      Ingredients

      • 160g soft unsalted butter
      • 150g caster sugar
      • 90g oats
      • 100 plain white flour
      • 100 raisins
      • 2 bicarbonate of soda

      Method

      1. 1. Mix the room temperature softened butter with the other ingredients to form a dough.
      2. 2. Weigh the dough into 120g portions and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
      3. 3. Preheat the oven to gas mark 4, 350°F (180°C).
      4. 4. Shape the dough into log shaped rolls and divide each log into 10 pieces.
      5. 5. Roll the pieces of dough into balls and put them equally spaced on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
      6. 6. Now flatten-out with a fork.
      7. 7. Bake the cookies for about 12 minutes until golden brown.

        Ingredients

        • 4 oz Marg
        • 2 oz Coconut
        • 2 oz Ready break
        • 6 oz Caster sugar
        • 1 TBS Golden Syrup
        • 1 TSP Bicarb of soda
        • 4 oz SR flour
        • 2 TBS Boiling water

        Method

        1. Mix flour oats and sugar together in large bowl
        2. Melt the marg with the syrup in a small pan
        3. Put the bicarb into the boiling water (in a cup) and then add the water mix to the marg mix (this will froth up)
        4. Now add the wet to the dry and mix well
        5. Put mixture into a greased dish
        6. Pop in the oven gas 4 ( 350f 177c)for about 20 mins, should be golden brown
        7. Cut up while still hot then allow to cool
