      i just use ordinary sausages for sausage rolls....just take the skins off first..

    Ingredients

    • 1 garlic clove
    • 1 cup parsley , chopped
    • 2 tsp. tarragon
    • 800g sausagemeat
    • 2 packs ready-rolled puff pastry
    • 2 beaten egg
    •  salt and pepper

    Method

    1. 1. Heat oven to 200C/fan 180C/gas 6.

    2. 2. Crush the garlic and combine it with the parsley, tarragon and sausage meat.

    3. 3. Stir in some water and seasone with salt and pepper.

    4. 4. Unroll the both packet of pastry onto a board and cut in half lengthways.

    5. 5. Divide the sausage mixture in four and spread along the length of each pastry strip, leaving a 1cm edge.

    6. 6. Roll the pastry around the sausagemeat and brush the edge with the beaten egg to secure.

    7. 7. Cut each roll into pieces, each about 3-5cm long, and place on a baking sheet.

    8. 8. Brush the pastry with the remaining eggs.

    9. 9. Place in the oven and cook for 40 mins until the pastry is puffed and crisp and the meat has cooked through.

      Ingredients

      • 4 thin sausages
      • ½ small carrot
      • ½ small zucchini
      • ½ cup grated cheese
      • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry

      Method

      1. Preheat oven to 180c line a large baking tray with baking paper.

      2. Squeeze sausage meat out of skins into a large bowl and add carrot, zucchini and grated cheese. season to taste and mix well to combine.

      3. Cut pastry sheet in half down the centre of each piece.

      4. Fold edges in and overlap to secure.

      5. Use a large sharp knife to cut each roll into 4 pieces .

      6. Place on prepared baking tray and bake for 45 mins approx or until cooked and golden.

      7. Serve the tomato or bbq sauce if desired

        • 1 jus-rol sheet of puff pastry
        • 1 packet of sausage meat
        • 1 egg beaten for brushing

        Method

        1. cut the sausage meat into equal thirds.
        2. place one third of the sausage meat on to the edge of the puff pastry.
        3. stretch out the sausage meat to make it the same length as the puff pastry.
        4. roll the puff pastry to cover the sausage meat.
        5. cut off that section of puff pastry and sausage meat.
        6. repeat previous steps for the other 2/3 of sausage meat.
        7. then cut out seven sausage rolls on each line of sausage meat and puff pastry.
        8. brush on the egg to each sausage roll.
        9. Finally, place rolls on a greased tray an cook in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
