Method

  • 1.Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C for fan ovens) or Gas Mark 4. Heat the oil in a large pan and fry the onion and beef until browned and then tip into a casserole dish with the carrots.
  • 2.Mix the Maggi recipe mix with 450ml water and pour into the dish. Stir, cover and then cook for 1½-1¾ hours or until the meat is tender.
  • 3.Ensure the casserole is cooked and piping hot throughout before serving. Serve with hot mashed potato and steamed peas and cabbage.

  • Try adding other vegetables to this recipe such as mushrooms or peppers.

    • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
    • 1 large onion, sliced
    • 3 Medium Carrots sliced
    • 480g mashed potatoes
    • 160g frozen peas
    • 240g Cabbage
