Pete's Apple Crumble

Method

Layer sliced apple with the white sugar and two star aniseed (no need to break the aniseed up) in a 2 pint pie dish. Cover with the crumble mix, made by rubbing the butter into the flour,oats,brown sugar.

Bake at 180 centigrade, Gas Mark 4 for one hour, someimes less, certainly less if using fan oven.

Serve with cream or custard, or Greek Yoghurt. The oats give the crumble a fantastic texture, and the anise gives the apple a wonderful flavour.
