Garlic and Mushroom Noodles

A simple recipe for some super tasty noodles that are quick and easy. Good to eat on their own as a healthy snack or as an accompaniment to a Chinese dish.


Put noodles in a pan and bring to the boil.

Finely chop or mince garlic cloves and finely slice

Heat oil and butter together in a frying pan or wok. Once the butter melts and starts to bubble in the oil add the garlic and fry for a few seconds before adding the sliced mushrooms to the pan. Sprinkle in the chilli flakes and cook until the mushrooms have softened.

Once the noodles are boiled drain them well in a sieve or colander and add them to the mushrooms. Combine the two and serve.

** Hints and Tips **

- Butter goes really well with mushrooms when frying, but it burns easily so it's best to use both oil and butter.
- Drain the noodles well before adding them to the hot oil and butter or it will spit.
