Malteser cupcakes


Pre-heat oven to 180c.

For the cake:
Cream butter and caster sugar together, before stirring in eggs.
Fold in flour and cocoa powder.
Half-fill paper cupcake cases and bake in oven for 20-25 minutes.

For the icing:
Cream butter, icing sugar and Horlicks together, add half the milk, mx and then add the rest if needed.

Wait until the cakes have cooled before piping the icing on to the cakes.

Smash bag of Maltesers with rolling pin, and scatter pieces on top of each cake.


For the cake

Butter. Softened 4oz
Caster Sugar 4oz
Large Eggs Beaten 2
Self Raising Flour 3oz
Cocoa Powder 1oz

For the icing

Butter. Softened 5oz
Icing Sugar 8oz
Horlicks Or Other Malt Drink 2oz
Milk 2 tbls.
Maltesers 1 packet
