- 1 pint Gin (cheapest)
- 1 pint sugar

Perfect for this time of year! Collect the sloes in October and the Sloe Gin will be ready in time for Christmas.

1. Once you have picked the sloes, prick them all with a pin.
2. Add the gin, sugar and sloes into a large glass sealed container (not plastic), shake well and then place in a cool room.
3. Shake regularly so the mixture all blends together and the sugar eventually disolves.
4. About a week before Christmas pour the liquid through a sieve or muslin bag to separate the fruit and the liquid.
5. Then put the Sloe Gin into a bottle and use as required.
