- 300ml vegetable stock

- 300ml dry cider or perry

Heat the margerine in a large saucepan,and cook the bacon for about 5 minutes,stirring occasionally,until golden brown.Stir in the leeks and apples and toss together well. Add the flour,mix well,then gradually stir in the cider and stock. Bring to the boil,stirring continuously. transfer to the slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours. Add seasoning and serve with garlic bread and/or cooked rice.
