Method

    You need a lump of pastry about the size of a tennis ball.

    Pin out pastry into a disc.

    Peel and slice banana down length

  4. 4

    Place on pastry, drizzle with syrup and dust with cinnamon.

  5. 5

    Seal into a parcel like a Cornish pasty.

  6. 6

    Bake until golden brown.

Chef's Tips

One pasty will just about serve two people. If you've enough pastry and bananas make more!
Serve with squirty cream or custard. Kiddies love it (well mine do , anyway).

If you're out of maple syrup brown sugar will do the job equally well.
