Ingredients
- 200 grm shallots. chopped
- 1 tabsp Butter
- Small amount Oil - any. but garlic infused is nice
- 4 - 5 sprigs Rosemary
- 175 ml Red Wine
- 1 teasp sugar (brown is best but white is fine)
- 1 teasp Balsamic vinegar

Nederburg Cabernet Sauvignon Rose
This beautiful rose wine is made entirely from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, fruit driven, refreshing with abundance of berry flavours and a pleasant long finish.

Heat the butter and oil in a frying pan. Use just enough oil to stop the butter burning. Add the shallots and toss until they start to brown.
Add the rosemary and cook until the shallots are starting to caramelise. Add wine, balsamic vinegar and sugar. Cover and simmer for approximately 20 mins. Uncover and turn up the heat to reduce the liquid until the shallots have a syrupy glaze.
Nice served with game or any red meat dish.
