- 2 Onions
- 300g/10oz Carrots
- 1kg/2lb 4oz Potatoes
- 450g/1lb lean minced beef
- 400g can baked beans
- 400g can chopped tomatoes
- splash Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 Beef stock cubes
- 900ml/1.5 pints Hot water
- 1 French Bread

A filling and warming dish for those really cold days.Quick and easy dish to prepare which is healthy & nutritious.

1) Chop up veg - cut each onion into 8 wedges. Roughly chop the carrots into chunks and cut the potatoes into large chunks.
2) Cook mince - heat a large non-stick pan, add mince and fry quickly stirring all the time, til evenly browned. Crumble in the stock cubes and mix well. Add the prepared vegetables, stir them around, then pour in the hot water from the kettle. Bring to the boil.
3) Get simmering - reduce the heat, cover, then simmer for 25-30 mins, until the vegetable are tender. Stir in the baked beans, tomatoes and splash of Worcesterhire sauce, and heat through til hot. Taste and season with salt and pepper if necessary.
4)Serve - ladle the hotpot into bowls, and serve with crusty French bread.
