Put tin of condensed milk into a large saucepan of boiling water for 2 hours. Make sure water is topped up regularly above the hight of the tin. (The tin does not need to be pierced or opened as it will not explode as some people think)
Crush the biscuits and mix in the melted butter and press into a 8in/20cm pie tin, prefereably loosed bottomed, and leave in fridge for 1/2 hour at least.
After 2 hours take the tin of milk from out of the pan and leave aside until cool enough to touch and then open and scoop the caramel into a bowl and give a quick stir.
Spread the cool toffee all over the biscuit base and then top with the sliced banana. Top that with the whipped cream and sprinkle over grated chocolate.
Return to fridge for 1/2 hour to firm up
