Ingredients
- 8x198g/7oz thick pork chops
- 4-5 large garlic cloves
- 10 tbsp Dark soya sauce
- 2 level tbsp clear honey
- 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
- Β½ tsb ground cloves
- ΒΌ tsb Ground star anise
- salt and freshly ground pepper
- cooked butternut squash to serve
- 908g/2lb potatoes, peeled and cut into cubes
- 6-8 spring onions, finely sliced
- 4 tsb Finelychopped roasted red pepper
- 100ml/3Β½fl oz hot water or vegetable stock

1, Place the pork in a single layer in a shallow ceramic dish. Mix together the garlic, soya sauce, honey and ground spices, season well and pour over the pork chops. Cover and marinade for 4-5 hours or overnight if time permits.
2,Prheat the oven to 190oc/gas 5. Place the pork chops on a non-stick backing trayand place in the oven anf cook for 15-20 minutes or until cooked to your liking.
3, While the pork is cooking, boil the potatoes in a large pan of slightly slated water for 15 minutes or until tender. Drain and return to the pan. Mash until smooth and then stir in the spring onions (reserving a few for garnish), red pepper and water or stock.Season well. Serve the glazed pork with the mash and butternut squash and garnished with the reserved onions.
