- 4 garlic cloves crushed / minced
- 1 teaspoon whole cumin seed
- 8 cups water
- 0.5 cup cous cous
- 1 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1 - 1.5 tgeaspoons curry powder
- quarter teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt

1) Bring the lentils, onion, celery, garlic, cumin seed and water to a simmer in a large pot over a medium heat.
2) Cover and cook until the lentils are tender - roughly 50 minutes.
3) Stir in the cous cous, chopped tomatoes, curry powder and pepper. Continue cooking until the cous cous is tender - about 10 minutes. Add salt to taste.
4) Blend and enjoy, with freshly baked, seedy bread!
