An old favourite of ours, so delicious yet so simple to make!

1. First butter two slices of chunky wholemeal bread.
2. Place the lettuce leaves onto one slice, Slice your tomatoe and place on top of the lettus and then slice your onion and place on top of the tomatoe
3. Next, add the thick slices of Cheddar cheese using as much or as little as you fancy. I like loads of extra mature cheddar cheese
4. Now add lasings of your favourite pickle or onion marmalade. My favourite is good old Branston pickle.
5. To finish up, add a further layer of tomato, red onion and lettuce leaves if desired and season with freshly ground pepper.
6. Put the other slice of bread on top and thats it.
7. Make a lovely mug of tea and sit down to enjoy.
