ITS A NICE CHANGE FROM MINCE PIES.
YOU CAN ALSO USE JAM.

Method

    YOU WILL NEED A SHALLOW BAKING TIN WELL BUTTERED.
    7" X 7" GAS MARK 6 400F 200C

    MELT SUGAR ADN BUTTER ON A LOW HEAT.
    MIX FLOUR AND OATS IN A BOWL.
    POUR MELTED INGREDIENTS INTO THE DRY AND MIX WELL.

    SPOON HALF THE MIXTURE INTO YOUR GREASED TIN AND PRESS DOWN FIRMLY USING BACK OF SPOON OR YOUR HAND.
    SPREAD WITH MINCEMEAT.
    SPOON THE REST OF THE MIXTURE ON TOP AND TRY AND PRESS DOWN FIRMLY AGAIN.

    COOKIN THE CENTRE OF THE OVEN FOR 20 MINS OR UNTIL THE TOP IS TINGED BROWN.

Chef's Tips

I've also used Jam. but you don't need as much.
Make sure you press the base down firmly. I find
it a little difficult with the top, so try crumbling it.
