- 1 large onion. coarsely chopped
- 1 tbsp. dry mustard
- 1 tsp. dried thyme
- 1 cup ketchup
- ยฝ cup apple cider vinegar
- ยฝ cup water
- 1/3 cup dark molasses
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 can red kidney beans. rinsed. drained
- 1 can black beans. rinsed. drained
- 1 can aduki beans. rinsed. drained

1. Add onion to drippings in pot and sautรฉ until almost tender, about 5 minutes.
2. Add dry mustard and thyme and stir 1 minute. Mix in ketchup, vinegar, molasses, water, bay leaf and all beans. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Cover pot and bake bean mixture 45 minutes, stirring occasionally and adding more water if mixture seems dry.
4. Discard bay leaf and serve.
