Cut the chicken into 1 inch squares.

Cut up the onion and place to one side.

Bring 300ml of water to the boil and turn down to a simmer.

Add the chicken, onion, stock cube and parsley to the water.

Cook until the chicken is cooked.

When cooked, remove from heat and place in a blender.

Blend until smooth and return to the saucepan with 100ml of milk.

Mix the flour and butter together.

Add the flour and butter mixture to the soup and mix well.

Bring to the boil.

Add salt and pepper to taste.

Hi I have seen a few soup recipes, but both me and my girlfriend like think soup is there anything in particular I have to add like flour or something like that to make it nice and thick?
Absolutely delicious. My children loved it and they wont eat tinned chicken soup at all so was a little apprehensive. Shouldn't have been, they came back for seconds! Very easy to make as well !!!
