Description
This is a great recipe which is easy to prepare in advance and a lot tastier than a take away.
Method
-
1
Pour oil into pan and lightly fry onions until soft. Add garlic, ginger, cumin, coriander, turmeric and cayanne pepper to the pan and stir for 2 minutes until spices are mixed. Add beef steak to the pan and fry until brown.
Once the meat is browned add the cans of chopped tomatoes and simmer for 1 hour until it becomes lovely and sticky and infused with the spices.
Now add the chilli, garam masala, chopped large tomatoes and coriander and cook for a further 10 minutes.
To prepare the rice take the rice and cold water in a pan and bring to the boil for 15 mins or until all the water has been absorbed.
Serve with garlic naan and cold bottles of beer!
Chef's Tips
You can easily vary the heat of the dish by adding more chillies to make it hotter or by taking out the seeds to cool it down a bit!
