Ingredients
- 3oz margarine
- 3oz brown sugar
- 3oz syrup
- 1 egg
- ¼ pint milk
- 8oz plain flour
- 1 teasp ground ginger
- ½ teasp baking powder
- ½ teasp bicarbonate of soda

Melt marg sugar syrup and treacle slowly in a pan leave to cool then add egg and milk.
Then add to flour ginger baking powder and bicarb. Mix well and put into lined tin and bake at 325 for 1 to 1 1/4 hours.
