Description

Can be served as a snack with dip/starter with some salad or can be substituted for meatballs in pasta dishes. Very easy to prepare in minutes with simple ingredients

Method

    1)In a hot pan add a 1 tsp of oil and sautรฉ cumin and fennel seeds and add 1/2 chopped onion and a pinch of salt to soften it quickly. When the onions are done keep it aside to cool a bit.

    2)In a blender add chickpeas, oats, cooled onion mixture and blend it to coarse paste.

    3)Tip the blended mixture in to a bowl and add the 1/2 chopped raw onion and the remaining ingredients and mix with a spoon.

    4)Divide the mixture in to equal size balls of any size you prefer and shallow fry in medium heat until crispy on the outside.



Chef's Tips

1) You could add any other spices if you like.

2) You can make this into patties and serve with dip or salad

3)You can bake this in oven also,but I have never tried before.

4)Can be substituted for meatball in pasta.
