- 500g beef mince
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- ยพtsp hot chilli powder
- ยฝtsp ground cumin
- ยฝtbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 12 rashers smoked streaky bacon, chopped
- 700g bottle passata
- 410g can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- splash worcestershire sauce
- 300g tortilla chips
- 100g mozzarella, torn
- 100g medium cheddar, grated
- 2tbsp jalapenos, drained

1. heat oven to Mark 6/200c. in a bowl, mix together mince, garlic, chilli, cumin and a pinch of salt. shape into 30-40 small meatballs. heat a non stick frying pan until very hot, fry the meatballs in batches for about 5mins, turning, until browned. transfer to a plate.
2. add oil to the pan and fry onion and bacon for 5-10mins until golden. add the passata, beans and worcestershire sauce, simmer for 10mins. add meatballs and simmer for 10mins, stirring occasionally.
3. put the tortilla chips into an ovenproof dish, bake for 5mins, then spoon over meatballs and sauce. sprinkle over cheese and jalapenos. bake for 2-3mins, until the cheese has melted. serve straightaway.
