Ingredients
- 500g beef mince
- 1 free range egg
- 1 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 400 g tinned chopped tomatoes
- vegetable oil
- 200 g frozen peas
- a pinch black pepper
- 1tsp cumin
- 1 sp paprika
- 1 tbsp flour plus some to roll the meatballs in
- a pinch sugar

1. In a bowl mix the mince, egg, breadcrumbs, black pepper, cumin and 1 onion, and mix well with your hands.
2. Put some flour in a plate, form little meatballs and roll them in the flour to coat.
3. Heat the oil in a pan and lightly brown the meatballs.
4. Take them out of the pan and using the same fat saute the onion for a couple of minutes, then add the paprika and flour and mix with the onion for 30 seconds.
5. Then add the tomatoes and sugar and dilute with some water if needed.
6. Transfer the meatballs back into the pan, add the peas, cover with a lid and reduce the heat to simmer for about 20 minutes or until the peas are ready.

I had some beef mince in the freezer and wondered how to make something interesting with just a few products so it's on the budget. The result was this stew with meatballs, peas and tomatoes, which actually turned out to be absolutely gorgeous! Hope you like it too...
