Ingredients
- 10oz Flour (self raising)
- 8oz sugar
- 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2oz walnuts chopped
- 1 tsp Vanilla essence
- 3oz margarine or butter
- pinch salt
- 8oz Dates. chopped
- 2 oz approx butter or margarine
- 4 oz approx muscovado sugar
- 150ml approx Cream

Make bread crumbs from the margarine and flour, pour a cup of boiling water over the dates and add the bicarbonates of soda.
Mix all the ingredients together and pour into baking tins. Cook on a medium/low heat for 35 mins
