Soak the beans overnight.
Boil the beans for at least half an hour, or cook in pressure cooker.
Fry garlic, onion, peppers, chilli pepper. Add the tomatoes from the tin (but not the juice), and maybe some tomato puree. Add other spices to taste.
Add the beans to the vegetables.
Simmer gently for at least half an hour.
To serve, put the chilli in a roasting tin. Top with one and a half bags of cheap tortilla chips (the 25p ones). Cover in grated cheddar cheese and put under the grill.
Once the cheese is melted, top with guacamole, sour cream, olives etc.
Yum.
Alternatively, serve with rice or in flour tortillas.
