- 1 bottle vodka

Wash, hull and halve the strawberries.
Put them into kilner jars.
Cover with vodka.
Seal jars and leave in dark place for two months or as long as you can resist.
The pink from the strawberries colours the vodka, (which leaves the strawberries looking quite horrid) but makes the vodka a delicious strawberry flavour.
To serve, strain the fruit out and mix the pink vodka with tonic.
