- 2 cloves of garlic. peeled and crushed
- 2 tsp wholegrain mustard
- 50g (1"oz) butter. softened

Trim the beans, then cook in boiling salted water, or steam, until just tender.
While the beans are cooking, mix together the garlic, mustard and butter. season with salt and pepper.
Once the beans are cooked, gently stir into the butter mixture and serve straight away.
Chef's Tips
Tenderstem broccoli, mangetout, sugar snap peas or even frozen peas are good alternatives to the green beans
