Make the batter using the basic recipe, sifting the cocoa with the flour before adding all the ingredients, including the caster sugar.

When cooking the pancakes, make them slightly thicker than the basic ones so they will hold in all the filling.

Spread a layer of cherry jam over one side of each pancake, add some sliced bananas and then roll up.

Place 1 or 2 on each plate and spoon over some chocolate sauce. Add a scoop of ice-cream and garnish with fresh cherries or more sliced banana.
