- 1 large onion sliced
- 2tbsp Oil
- 1 Β½lb frying steak
- 1 green pepper
- 150ml/ΒΌpint beef stock
- Β½-1tsp paprika
- pinch sugar
- salt and pepper
- 2 canned red peppers
- 2tbsp plain flour

Nederburg Cabernet Sauvignon Rose
This beautiful rose wine is made entirely from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, fruit driven, refreshing with abundance of berry flavours and a pleasant long finish.

place the onion in a large frying pan with the oil. saute gently, without browning, for 5mins. cut the frying steak into 4 pieces & fry quickly until lightly browned. remove the meat from the pan & arrange in an ovenproof casserole with the onion rings placed over the top. slice the pepper, add to the pan & fry for 3mins. remove & add to the casserole. stir the stock into the pan, add paprika, sugar & seasoning. blend & add to the meat. drain & slice the canned red peppers & arrange over the meat. cover the dish & cook in the centre of a moderate oven 180c/350f/mark 4, for 1/2 - 1 hour until the meat is tender. when cooked, remove to a heated serving dish. pour the liquid into a small saucepan, blend the flour with a little water, add to the pan & bring to the boil, stirring. cook for 3 mins then pour over the meat. serve with broccoli
