Nederburg Cabernet Sauvignon Rose

Nederburg Cabernet Sauvignon Rose

This beautiful rose wine is made entirely from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, fruit driven, refreshing with abundance of berry flavours and a pleasant long finish.

Method

  1. 1

In a bowl, mix together the cumin, garlic, thyme, chilli or cayenne and olive oil. add a bit of salt, then slather the mixture all over the meaty surfaces of the chops. Leave to one side for an hour if you have time.
Heat the oven to 220c/gas mark 7. When you are ready to cook, heat a frying pan or ridged stove top griddle for a few minutes to get it hot. Sear pork chops in the hot pan for 1-1 1/2 minutes on each side to brown the surface. Upend on the fat side to crisp. Add 1 halved orange into the pan cut side down so the surface starts to brown.
Take the chops from the pan and put in shallow roasting dish with the browned oranges cut side down. Take the other orange and squeeze juice over the chops. Cook for 8-10 mins. Serve from the pan pouring all juices over the chops. Nice served with a big green salad.
