- 32 oz lamb
- 24 prunes
- 2 pears
- 6 cups water
- Β½ cup sugar
- 3/8 cup butter
- ΒΌ cup orange blossom water
- ΒΌ cup raisin
- ΒΌ cup whole almond
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon

Description
This sweet lamb dish is eaten after a day of fasting during the Muslim holy celebration of Ramadhan.

1.Cut lamb into 2-3 in pieces. Soak prunes in water for 1-2 hours and remove pits. Peel and core the pear and cut into wedges.
2.Melt butter in a pan over low heat and add the lamb. SautΓΒ© over low heat for 10 minutes.
3.Add cinnamon, water and sugar and mix well.
4.Increase heat to mod and cook for approx 45-90 minutes or till the lamb is tender to a fork. The sauce will become darker.
5.Drain prunes and add them to the lamb with the raisins, almonds and pear.
6.Simmer for a further 15 minutes, remove the pan from heat and stir in the orange blossom water.
