Ingredients
- 6 chicken breasts cut into pieces Boneless chicken pieces
- Patak's tandoori paste
- Β½ tea spoon Garam masala (readily available)
- ΒΎ tea spoon Cumin powder
- 4 table spoons Plain yogurt
- ΒΌ packet Butter
- 2 (mediun size) Chopped onions
- 1 Crushed ginger
- 3 Cloves garlic crushed
- 1 Whole green chilli
- Hardful of cashew nuts made into paste using water
- ΒΎ tea spoon Red chilli powder
- 4 oz Tomato paste
- Β½ tin Plain yogurt
- 4 oz Whipped cream
- Β½ tea spoon Cinnamon powder

Marinate the chicken pieces in the marinade of (could leave overnight): patak's tandoori paste, garam masala, cinamon powder, clove powder, cumin powderm plain yogurt,salt to taste.
Heat butter in a non-stick pan and fry the chicken pieces on high heat until it turns colour.
Re;ove the chicken, add a little bit more butter and fry the onions on med heat until golden brown.
Add ginger, cloves garlic and green chilli and sprinkle a little water to separate the onions.
Add the cashew nuts paste, chilli powder, tomato paste and cook for 10 minutes.
Add yogurt (1/2 tin), whipped cream (4 oz) and finally the chicken with coriander leaves.
I made this dish and it was lovely. Recommended. Next time i will try and make my own tandoori marinade though. Sujata - do you have a recipe for this?
