This salad has been in our family for ages and we've always enjoyed it. It's extremely simple, but very tasty.

Boil the eggs, then while they are cooling down cut the onions finely and fry them till golden turning slightly brown (but don't let them burn, that'll taste bitter).
Chop the eggs finely, mix them with the onions and add mayonnaise (or some mayonnaise and some sour cream). Add salt to taste and - for best results! - let the salad stand for a couple of hourse for all the flavours to really mix.
