Ingredients
- 1 lb currants
- 1 lb sultanas
- 1 lb raisins
- 4 oz peel
- 3 oz chopped almonds
- 1 lb apples. peeled. cored and finely chopped
- 1 orange - rind (grated) and juice
- 1 lemon - rind (grated) and juice
- 1ΒΌ lb demerara sugar
- 1 lb beef suet. finely chopped
- Β½ tsp grated nutmeg
- Β½ tsp mixed spice
- Β½ tsp ground ginger
- Β½ tsp ground cinammon
- Β½ tsp salt
- 2 tblsp brandy
- ΒΌ lb glace cherries. roughly chopped

Clean the currants, sultanas and raisins.
Put the dried fruit, apples and suet in a bowl and mix well. Add in the rest of the ingredients and stir thoroughly.
Store in sealed jam jars for at least a fortnight before using.
