Description
I dont normally bother with starters but I am doing the Christmas lunch this year and my sister outdid me the year before so thought I had better!
Method

1. The day before serving, make the bloody mary (passata, vodka, lime juice, tabasco, pepper, woostershire sauce, salt) then freeze in a Tupperware dish.
2. Take the bloody mary mix out of the freezer 1 hour before serving to partially defrost.
3. Prawn Cocktail: Drain the prawns and gently stir with the lemon juice and black pepper. Leave to stand for 5 mins then stir in the remaining ingredients (mayo, relish, ketchup, tabasco).
4. Wash and chop the salad. Finely chop the chives and slice the lemon. Mash the frozen bloody mary with a fork into rough crystals.
5. Serve in glass bowls or cocktail glasses in the following layers. Salad on the bottom. Prawn cocktail on top of the salad. Bloody mary crystals & chives sprinkled over the prawn cocktail. Lemon slice on the side.
Chef's Tips
-You can also serve this with buttered granery bread.
-Use passata instead of tomatoe juice for a thicker, stronger bloody mary.
-Season the bloody mary more strongly than you would for a drink!
Regarding separating your ingredients with different headings, -> Login to Mydish in the usual way -> Go to the recipe you have previously uploaded (you can not actually add ingredient headings when you first upload the recipe, sorry). Half way down the recipe details page, to the right hand side see the link Edit This Recipe -> click this link and you will go into edit mode -> In edit mode go to Step 2. Here you will find the facility to add Ingredient Header Name. Now just edit / add as required. Hope that helps, Regards, Team Mydish.
Have you managed to sort this out yet - Carol x
Made this for the first time as my cmas day starter and it was yummy! Tweaked the recipy a bit though. I reduced the amount of red pepper relish (to 1/2 tblsp) as it came through too strongly. Also reduced bloody mary defrosting time
How the hell do you seperate your ingrediants into seperate bits (eg bloody mary, prawn cocktail etc) its driving me NUTS!!!!
