Nederburg Cabernet Sauvignon Rose

Nederburg Cabernet Sauvignon Rose

This beautiful rose wine is made entirely from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, fruit driven, refreshing with abundance of berry flavours and a pleasant long finish.

Description

Perhaps not authentic, but berluddy tasty!

Method

  1. 1

    1. In a large pan, add oil and seal the pork. Add the onion, garlic, chilli, mushrooms, carrot and peppers. Continue to fry until the meat is cooked through.
    2. Add the five spice and grated ginger and fry for a further 1-2 mins.
    3. Add the tomatoes, cider vinegar, maple syrup and a splash of orange juice. Simmer for 10 mins.
    4. Serve with rice and noodles and top with fresh corriander leaves.

Chef's Tips

Add a touch of sesame oil towards the end of cooking to enhance the taste of Asia. Or add some chilli oil for an extra hot kick!

Groundnut oil would be the best oil to use for frying but I wouldn't go to the trouble of buying it just for this dish.

Season with sea salt or fish sauce.

To make it veggie, substitute aubergine or broccoli and pak choi for the pork.
