Nederburg Winemasters Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

The famous and multi-award winning Nederburg estate has been handcrafting wines for over two centuries.A full bodied wine with ripe fruit.

Method

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 220&#730,,,C/gas 7. Bring a pan of salted water to the boil. Peel the potatoes and cut into chip shapes. Place in the boiling water. Once the water returns to the boil, cook for 4 minutes.

Drain well and transfer to one or two roasting trays. It doesn't matter if the chips start to crumble at the edges, as this will give you the nice crunchy bits during cooking. Toss in the olive oil and a good pinch of flaked sea salt and spread out into a single layer.

Place the chips in the oven and cook for about 40-45 minutes, turning a couple of times throughout, until golden and crispy. Serve straight away with the barbecued steaks and salsa verde.

Chef's Tips

If you fancy adding a little spice to the chips, mix 1 tsp chilli powder into the oil before tossing with the potatoes.
